Fa Cup & Fa Vase DrawThe FA Cup and the FA Vase draw for the coming season has been made with Dawlish Town featuring in both competitions. In the FA Cup extra preliminary round Dawlish Have been drawn at home to Elmore with the game to be played on Saturday 15th of August. The winners of this round will go forward and meet the winners of the Bridport or Keynsham Town away. The winners of that tie will meet with recently promoted to the Southern League Premier Division Truro City away. In the first round proper of the FA Vase Dawlish Town will play the winners of the Elmore or Liskard Athletic at home on the 3rd of October. Ties will be played on the dates announced, any needed replays will take place the following Tuesday. |

First Tournament Of The SeasonDawlish Town have been invited to enter a team into the Torquay United under 18s tournament being held at Bovey Tracy on July 11th, 12th & 13th. The team is to be Managed by Adam Shearer and under 16s Manager Paul Pearson. The team will be a mix from all the Dawlish Teams including last years Pioneer League Plate winners the under 16s. The first game is on Friday against last years under 18s league winners Plymouth Argyle, which should prove a stern test for the Dawlish Team. Any supports that wish to see the team in action can purchase the tickets from Adam Shearer or at the gate on the day. |

ClicSummer Fayre and CLIC Presentation June June the 27th saw Dawlish Town’s home ground—Sandy Lane become the venue for the Summer Fayre and CLIC Presentation and raise £2,500 for CLIC the Chidren’s Cancer Charity. Run as part of the Football in the Community Programme, six local schools took part in raising money along side Dawlish Town. The schools that took part were: Chudleigh Knighton, Kenn, Shaldon, Gatehouse, St Michaels, and Oaklands. Children from the schools help raise the money with Alfie Blackwell raising the most with £210, followed by Oliver Pullum and Louis Piper. The event was very well supported by local businesses including, Rodean Restaurant, John Sculpher Photography, Boots, Toby Downey of the River Dart Country Park, Exeter City, Woodland Leisure Park, Torquay United, Partridge Cycles, Langstone Cliff Hotel, and the club would like to thank them for their support with such a worthy cause. The Prizes for the children who raised the money and prizes in the draw included Tickets for a Liverpool Game, Plymouth Argyle Tickets, Signed shirts from Torquay United and Exeter City, Sports Equipment, Set of Family Photo’s, a Meal at a top local Restaurant and Sports Equipment. I would also like to thank all the helpers and people who donated the prizes, because without them the day would not have happened. I am intending to make this a regular thing every year as it is such a good cause.”

New Manager Appointed
Dawlish Town have announced their new
managerial line up at the club for the new season. The new
manager is the vastly experienced Jeff Evans supported by the
retained Assistant manager from last season Chris Porter with
Dean Coppard appointment as Assistant player/Coach. Jeff takes
over the helm from Adam Shearer who will be staying at the club
as the Football in the Community Officer and a player.
Jeff who has Managed at many South West clubs
at the Western League Premier Division Level and in the Southern
League, will take up the position with immediate effect. His
first job will be to retain the squad from last season, most
of whom have agreed to stay at the club.
"I have seen the side play on several
occasions and without doubt they are a talented bunch of
players," Commented the new Manager Jeff Evans. " And I
am certainly looking forward to working with them at the club.
There is a good team spirit and some very talented youngsters
come through the ranks, I am looking forward to working with
everybody at Dawlish.
Chairman, Dave Fenner welcome the appointment,
"It was a hard process to appoint the right man for the job,
one who we felt could take the club forward, I believe we
have the right man for the job in Jeff who is vastly experienced
at this level and I think the players will enjoy working with
him."

Ladies Finish Runners Up.
DAWLISH TOWN LADIES FINISH RUNNERS UP
Dawlish Town Ladies having already finished their Season in the Devon Womans League, had to anxiously wait other results over the past two weeks to see if they remained second in the League. The final results on Sunday confirmed that Dawlish had remained as runners up, the players were to be congratulated on a great season. Laura Gough was top scorer with a total of 38 Goals (30 League and 8 Cup).
